Science and Math summer camp
In partnership with the local non-profit Associação Amigos de Maylaski, we conduct science and mathematics summer workshops with students from public schools in the district of São Roque, São Paulo, Brazil.
Through creative, open, and engaging activities, the camp contributes to enhancing students’ self-efficacy and learning in science and mathematics.
Teaching residence - CO.LETIVO
CO.LETIVO was our pilot teaching residency program, offered in 2019. Residents had an immersion experience in their mentors’ classrooms, observing, planning, conducting activities and receiving feedback. The pilot was extensively documented so that its learnings can serve as support for universities interested in implementing teacher residency programs.
Lesson Study
We work with public schools in disseminating the formative practice of lesson study, a professional development methodology originally developed in Japan with a focus on mathematics teaching, and now present in several countries around the world.
Development sessions with students, teachers, and staff from education departments.
We carry out teacher education programs in partnership with public and private networks and with technicians from education departments, according to local needs. Topics include classroom management, group work, planning, assessment, science and math teaching, teacher education, among others.
